2. Who We Are

Becky Adams, SEO:
I am Brackley born and bred and have followed BTFC for most of my life. I have so many wonderful memories and life experiences to thank the club for. I met my husband here when he played for the club back in 2001 and went on to have 2 beautiful girls together – one of which is BTFC’s Ladies Captain, that memorable day at Wembley and our league winning, promotion day (going on to win volunteer of the season at presentation night) just to name a few!

I love everything about this place. I have made new friends, reconnected with old ones and now find myself more involved than I ever expected – SEG, events team, Her Game Too Ambassador, Advocate for the ladies’ team and I am very proud to have been partially responsible for fundraising projects to kit us out with the scoreboard. I have always wanted to help make a difference here and I am looking forward to working with Nigel and the team to do just that!

Nigel Jenkins, SEO:
I’ve lived in Brackley my entire life. The football club has been a huge part of my journey since the age of five, whether that was socialising with my dad, playing for the team from the age of 14, or supporting the club both on and off the pitch. Over the years, I have remained deeply connected to the club, now holding a season ticket and continuing to back both the players and the bar. My long-standing involvement means i have a strong understanding of the club’s history, particularly dating back to the late 1980’s making my knowledge second to none.

Andrew Bannard, Secretary:
Also known as Banny (and probably a few other names not suitable for print!) Brackley born and bred I’ve been in football for nearly thirty years and have been at BTFC now for eleven. My main matchday job is Stadium Announcer but apart from that I’m also a coach in the player development centre currently working with the Under 7’s and Under 12’s.

Dick Turvey:
I was born in Brackley and played for BTFC 200+ times in the 80s and 90s. I was also honoured to Captain the Club for a few seasons.
I now live in Manchester, where I moved with work 27 years ago, however, regularly watch BTFC both home and away (in the North). When at St James Park, I sit with my 80+ year old father, Eddie, who is a season ticket and former player too!

My involvement with BTFC stretches to 45 years and the success we have in recent years has been unbelievable! I am grateful to everyone involved, especially the owner, for those experiences e.g. Wembley and keen they continue for our loyal fan base.
It amazes me every time I go to an away game up North in mid-week, how many people have left work early, travelled hundreds of miles and spent their hard-earned money to follow BTFC. I am hopeful the SEG will give those people and the fanbase more generally, a forum through which they will be able to share their views on the Club.

Alan Eaton:
I moved to Brackley in 2000, for the location not the football team!
I got my enjoyment of football from my Dad and over the years I have been able to attend matches at SJP when work and family have allowed. I enjoy being part of my community, not just living in it but also, I am happy to give time where my experience can help the local enterprises.

This season I joined the team of volunteers at SJP, taking on the responsibility of managing the turnstiles.

That’s my motivation for joining the SEG…….C’mon you Saints

Andy Williams:
My first game at Brackley 1993, been a regular since around 2010 season ticket holder the last 3 seasons happy to be a part of The SEG.

Chris Withers:
My first involvement with Brackley Town was in the early 1990's when they were in the Southern League. When they needed a Coach for away games the Company I worked for supplied it and I was the driver. Round about the same time my 2 stepsons also played for the Club along with Nigel & Leon Jenkins. My present involvement started round about 3 years ago when my Wife and I came to watch and found out that they needed extra Stewards for which we volunteered. I can no longer do this for health reasons but feel I could continue to help as a member of the SEG.

Jan Lay:
I have been a supporter and volunteer over the last 28 years. My son played for Brackley around 2000, and I helped in the kitchen around that time. At present I sell 50/50 tickets in the board room before the match. On a Saturday morning, I help and support the junior football section taking the register for the 4- to 6-year-olds. I am also a trustee for the Saints Community Charity. The club is very special to me and has been a part of my life for a very long time.

Colin Bignall
I moved to Brackley 2 years ago and supported the club from the terraces in season 24/25. I joined the volunteers in season 25/26. I joined the reception team in welcoming the away club board/ Hospitality/sponsors on match day, which I enjoy doing. By joining the SEG, I want to be able help the club with forming a greater relationship with the supporters using my knowledge/experience of non-league football over the years at other clubs.

Matt Day:
I've lived in the area my entire life and my love affair for football began when my dad started taking me to various matches from the age of 5. I started attending Brackley games with him around 10 years ago and have been coming more frequently season upon season. Every time I attend a match I fall in love with the club even more. Being an active supporter during the most successful period in the club's history has been incredible. The passion for the club I saw from supporters when I first started going has been incredibly infectious. The community feel of the club is so special and inviting. I'm so excited to be a part of this club and share my ideas to help Brackley Town FC grow.

Garth Perkins:
A newcomer, compared to others. I’ve been a supporter and season ticket holder at BTFC for 3 years. Enjoyed everything I’ve seen and experienced at this friendly club. (Except relegation Boo!) Want to offer my enthusiasm and annoying habit of asking searching questions to get things done. Back in the day when boots and balls were made of leather I played as a kid for Leicester and bit later for Wycombe reserves. Qualified as a ref before rugby league laws were allowed in the penalty box. WE ARE BRACKLEY.
