Two goals in the opening five minutes put Saints in a commanding position and the visitors never looked back.
Dan Turner repeated his brace against Spennymoor with another double finishing smartly in the 2nd and 5th minutes to set Brackley on their way in a game that had appeared to be at risk from the heavy rainfall of the previous 24 hours.
Turner’s first was set up by Danny Newton’s header from Riccardo Calder’s deep cross, his second another close range finish from Tyler Lyttle’s cross.
Newton’s 27th minute headed goal from Lyttle’s free-kick gave on-loan keeper Michael Aquah no chance as Saints dominated, threatening to increase the lead as Zak Lilly’s header from another Lyttle cross was powered narrowly wide before Lyttle’s goal-bound shot was blocked by Tom Allan.
Danny Lewis was rarely in action but punched away under pressure from a dangerous cross and Rudy Misambo’s header was close before half-time.
Lyttle’s corner kick was drilled towards the near post and found the net to extend the lead before Farsley grabbed a scrambled consolation through Conor Branson on the hour. In added time Newton was twice close to a fifth goal as Gavin Cowan’s side wrapped up a convincing win that moved Saints into 4th place in the table.
“It was a scrappy game overall on a difficult pitch but it was a brilliant performance with the early goals putting us ahead,” Cowan said. “We had to roll our sleeves up and get on the front foot against a good team. We were insistent on our press and unwavering in our approach so I am really pleased with our game today.”
