This top-of-the-table clash ended all square in what was a great advert for National League North.
With the game going out live as a test event for the National League's new streaming service, it was imperative that the Saints got off to a good start.
They did just that when on twelve minutes James Armson got free in the box and pulled the ball back to Riccardo Calder who floated a ball onto Adam Rooney’s head, the ball struck the foot of the post and in the melee that followed Rooney toe-poked the ball over the line for his sixth of the season.
It was almost two in the twentieth minute as Callum Stead was put through by Calder, his shot was heading for the far post but a finger-tip save from Dixon-Hodge in the Linnet’s goal denied the Brackley top scorer.
It was then a game of corners as both teams pushed for a decisive goal but at half-time, the Saints were happier with the advantage.
The second half started much the same as the first with both sides attacking at pace before King’s Lynn equalised with a well-worked corner which found Crowther at the far post who headed home.
Alfie Bates was deployed for the final 20 minutes in an advanced right position and it was his cross that almost caught Dixon-Hodge out at his near post, the keeper palming the ball around the post.
Bates then went for goal from a well-placed free-kick but found his shot just too high, before playing in an inch-perfect ball for Stead with five minutes remaining but the Brackley striker volleyed wide with only the keeper to beat.
In the end, both sides had to settle and will be happy with a point, both sides still chasing automatic promotion with nine games remaining.
