Brackley Town Football Club would like to advise supporters they should expect to see ticket checks for upcoming home matches.
Checks will be implemented, because it has been brought to the club's attention that some supporters may be purchasing tickets for the incorrect category.
While only a small minority appear to be acting in this way, this type of behaviour has the potential to cost the club a significant amount of money over the course of a season, money that could potentially be spent for the benefit of the whole club.
For upcoming home games, stewards will be stopping fans to check they have purchased the correct ticket, anyone found not to have done so will not be allowed entry to the ground. We therefore advise fans to allow a little more time to enter the ground prior to kick off.
We are monitoring the information we hold in our ticketing system, and you may be asked to present ID when purchasing a ticket from the ticket office.
It's disappointing to have to implement these checks, but given the information that has been passed to the club recently, we feel it's the right option to ensure the correct tickets are being purchased.
We hope you understand, and please bear with the our volunteer staff while checks are made.
