George, 29, is primarily a defender but can play in a number of different positions was a popular figure at Chesterfield, and is an excellent signing for Kevin Wilkin's Saints

He started his playing career for Cadbury Athletic, then moved on to Redditch in the Evo-Stik League Southern Premier, where he was named the Reds’ Player of the Season.

His next move was to Hednesford before signing for Solihull Moors at the start of the 2016/17 season. His performances were rewarded with his England “C” cap at the close of that season.

He then joined Gloucester City in June 2020, before reuniting with ex City manager James Rowe at Chesterfield, and was their Player of the Year in 2021, chipping in with goals and assists, playing an instrumental part in the Spireites play-off run in 2021.
