Brackley Town would like to thank Tyler Lyttle and Morgan Roberts for their outstanding contribution to the football club following confirmation that both players will move on this summer after deciding to pursue opportunities elsewhere.
Both players were offered new terms following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, however they have informed the club of their intention to continue their careers away from St James Park.
Having joined the Saints in June 2023, Tyler and Morgan have both played significant roles during one of the most successful periods in the club's history.
Morgan leaves the club having made 153 appearances and scored 25 goals in a Brackley Town shirt, while Tyler departs having made 131 appearances and scored seven goals during his three seasons at St James Park.
Both players were integral members of the side that secured the National League North title in 2024/25, helping the Saints achieve promotion to the National League for the first time in the club's history. They also played key roles during memorable FA Cup runs and some of the most successful seasons the club has enjoyed.
Everyone at Brackley Town would like to thank Tyler and Morgan for everything they have given to the football club and wish them both every success for the future.
Tyler Lyttle
"Firstly I would just like to say the last 3 years have been some of the most enjoyable I've had in my career to date (unfortunately finished with a massive disappointment last season).
Joining Brackley I had never imagined the success we were going to create together. From Play Off final heartbreak, FA Cup runs & ultimately the best day in my footballing life when we managed to secure that league title.
I can't thank the club enough for giving me the platform to play week in week out for the most part and helping me grow as a player & person. Massive shout out to all the players as well as current and previous management team. Not to forget you fans, you've been great from day one and I have always felt the support.
Nothing but my best wishes this upcoming season and I hope to see another trophy lift for Brackley at the end of the season."
Morgan Roberts
"So many memories to even list. So many highs and lows - but that's why we love football. The journey has been incredible and from signing as a young lad with little experience to leaving as a man with over 150 appearances for the club makes me thankful to everyone!
I wish everyone involved with the club the absolute best to get back where you belong.
To players, staff, volunteers and fans. I've loved every minute of this journey. Thank you!"
Preparations for the 2026/27 season continue behind the scenes, with manager Andy Whing and his staff working hard on plans for the new campaign. Further squad updates will be announced in due course.
