MATCH PREVIEW
Sitting at the foot of the National League, Truro have enjoyed a strong home form this season, playing the long travel for away sides to their advantage. All of their league wins have been in Cornwall.
Similar to the Saints, Truro are in their maiden National League season following a championship winning season in 24/25. The Tinners have picked up 7 points in their last 4 games, with two wins and clean sheets coming at home to Wealdstone and Yeovil.
Tuesday night's clash will be the 7th time Brackley and Truro will have played, Brackley have won four times, drawn once and lost once. Truro's only win over the Saints would come in a Southern Premier League tie all the way in 2010. Truro would go on to win the title that season. The Saints would then have their turn the following year and both teams haven’t looked back since.
Earlier this season, a 1-0 win courtesy of Connor Hall would secure all three points at St James Park. A fine bit of wing play between Morgan Roberts and Matt Lowe found Hall, who buried his chance in the 18th minute.
Prior to their Tuesday night National League clash, both Truro and Brackley will play league ties on Saturday the 17th January 2026.
Key Players:
With three goals from centre half, Will Dean has been the Tinners saviour this season. Dean was part of their historic National League South winning campaign, scoring 4 goals in the process. In his fifth year at Truro, Dean has started every National League game bar one for John Askey.
Dom Johnson-Fisher has 7 goal involvements in all competitions for Truro this season, an electric forward, Johnson-Fisher was also part of Truro’s Championship winning season in 24/25.
The Man in Charge:
A strong National League pedigree, John Askey has won the National League, the North and the South as a Manager.
The former Macclesfield striker knows the ins and outs of the league and has used his team’s geographical location to his advantage this season. All five wins have come from home and will provide a mountain to climb for Gavin Cowan and his men come Tuesday.
