This will be Saints’ second visit to the Flamingo Land Stadium. Last season’s rearranged fixture was eventually played at the end of January and ended in a goal-less draw so we will be hoping to see a first-ever Brackley Town goal at Scarborough.
The Seadogs are managed by former Man United, Middlesbrough and WBA midfielder Jonathon Greening and have started the season well with three wins and a draw although they went down 3-1 at Southport in midweek. All of their points have come at home on the 3G pitch with four defeats on the road.
Gavin Cowan’s squad has been depleted with injuries with Gaz Dean and Alex Gudger both missing at King’s Lynn Town. The team stormed back from to level after a two-goal deficit and had sufficient chances to have won the game several times over.
September brings FA Cup action with a trip in the second qualifying round to league leaders Scunthorpe United followed by the visit in the league by high-flying Curzon Ashton.
