MATCH PREVIEW
Sitting joint second of The National League and having lost once in their last 6 league games, Rochdale also boast the strongest defensive record in the league. Their ruggedness in defence combined with the ability to flush out opponents with a flurry of goals is why the Dale sit atop of the National League.

Saturday’s 3pm kick-off will be only the second ever occurrence of this fixture, the first being a 2-1 win for Brackley, courtesy of a wonderful Ryan Haynes free kick followed by a Connor Hall winner. It would be a hard-fought win for the Saints, with Rochdale pushing the game to the wire.

The League leaders will one of the toughest test’s which Brackley will face this season. Despite this, Gavin Cowan’s men will be full of confidence after beating the Dale in August. Furthermore, with back to back league wins, performances are turning into points for Cowan's Saints.

Key Players:
Emmanuel Dieseruvwe has lit up the league this season with 12 goals and 5 assists. A handful for all defenders, the Nigerian forward has replicated last season’s form perfectly.

Defensive maestro Kyron Gordon has played the most minutes for the Dale this season, starting in all 21 games for Jim McNulty. The former Sheffield united youngster has slowly worked his way back up the leagues since leaving the Blades for Boston at 19.

With defensive duties his priority, Gordon has had his fair share of attacking involvements. Almost 20% of Rochdale’s goals have been scored or created by the centre half.

The Man in Charge
After successful spells as player manager in Greater Manchester, McNulty has had the reigns since the Dale’s relegation in 2023. Last season, He would guide Rochdale to 4th place and a playoff finish. At the midpoint of the 2025/26, with two games in hand and a 2-point cushion, McNulty has never had a better to return Rochdale back to the Football League.

As a player, McNulty was a centre-half and spent most of his career in and around Manchester, with a 9-year stint at Rochdale prior to becoming manager. Playing over 200 games for the Dale, he is well and truly a legend at the Crown Oil Arena.

Safe travels to all Saints fans making the trip to Rochdale (Accrington)!
