National League North action returns to St James Park on Saturday with the visit of Marine FC for a first ever league fixture, the only previous encounter coming in the FA Cup back in the 2018-19 season. Kick-off is 3pm.
Saints bring successive wins into the game having won at Truro City in the FA Cup on Saturday and previously away at Peterborough Sports. Injuries and illness have depleted Gavin Cowan’s squad in recent weeks with only four of the seven berths filled on the substitute bench at Truro but player availability is improving.
After promotion from the NPL last season, beating Macclesfield in a Promotion Play-Off final, Marine have started life at Step 2 with a win, three draws and four defeats. No team has found the net on fewer occasions, Bradley Holmes top scoring with two goals.
