NEXT UP: BRACKLEY TOWN V CHORLEY - VANARAMA NATIONAL LEAGUE NORTH PLAY-OFF SEMI-FINAL

Chris Tymon26 Apr 2024 - 14:00

We take on Chorley in Sunday's Play-off Semi-Final

For a sixth successive season, we enter the National League North play-offs. Finishing third sends Saints directly into a semi-final home tie against the winners of Wednesday evening’s Eliminator that saw Chorley emerge victorious after a barren 120 minutes of football and a tight penalty shoot-out.

So Sunday sees Chorley the visitors to an expectant St James Park with a final against either Scunthorpe United or Boston United the prize for the winners.

The game will go to extra time if level after 90 minutes and then penalties if needed. The final is scheduled for the following Saturday with a 3.30pm kick-off.

The two sides have met twice this season. Games have traditionally been tight, closely fought encounters, and this season is no different. On the opening day, the sides shared a 1-1 draw at Victory Park, while Gavin Cowan’s side won through a Morgan Roberts goal in the game at St James Park in February.
