NEXT UP: BRACKLEY TOWN v CHORLEY - VANARAMA NATIONAL LEAGUE NORTH

Chris Tymon1 Sep 2024 - 08:00

Chorley are the visitors to St James Park this Tuesday evening (7.45pm KO)

Matchday 7 brings Chorley to St James Park for a Tuesday evening fixture with 7.45pm kick-off. This is not a segregated game.

After the fine win over Curzon Ashton and gritty draw at Spennymoor, last Saturday’s home defeat against Hereford was a big disappointment especially as Saints dominated the game and conceded the decisive goal in added time.

Traditionally games between Brackley and Chorley have been tight, low scoring affairs. Chorley were twice visitors here last season with the home side winning in a February league encounter with Morgan Roberts the match winner and then by the same 1-0 score-line in the Promotion Play-Off semi-final when Riccardo Calder bagged the winning goal.

Chorley have lost only once so far this season and are unbeaten on the road. On Saturday they fought back from a two goal deficit at Oxford City to claim an away point with a late goal as City were reduced to ten men when Corie Andrews received a second yellow card from referee Harry Warner for leaving the field of play too slowly.
