Saints drew with 7th placed Chorley at SJP on Saturday while Kidderminster moved up to 8th with an away win at Spennymoor. The 1-1 draw against The Magpies left Johnson frustrated at dominating a game but failing to capitalize, conceding a sloppy goal and dropping further points.
Johnson rang the changes on Saturday, bringing four players into the starting line-up after the defeat at Peterborough Sports and making full use of the squad with an intense period of games coming up.
Russ Penn’s Kidderminster are on an impressive run of results, with one defeat in nine games. Unusually, Harriers’ away form is stronger than home form, with five wins and two losses in the last seven away games but only one win in seven at home.
Games between the two sides have always been lively affairs enhanced by the appearance of former players on one side or the other. Former St James Park players Shane Byrne and Reiss McNally now feature for Harriers.
When the teams met at SJP earlier in the season Saints came out on top through goals from Jimmy Armson and Wes York.
