Brackley Town are delighted to announce that influential trio Gareth Dean, Shepherd Murombedzi and Danny Newton have all signed new deals to remain at St James Park.

Club Captain Gareth Dean has once again been a rock in the Brackley defence this season, making 42 appearances as the Saints took it to the wire with another promotion final. "Gaz" joined the Saints in the Summer of 2016 from Solihull Moors, making 359 appearances and scoring 16 goals.

Manager's player of the season Shepherd Murombedzi has also signed a new deal to remain at St James Park, a vital part of the success of the Saints midfield, "Shep" is a very popular figure amongst supporters and teammates alike and it's great to see him remain at Brackley Town for another season.

Danny Newton joined the Saints in the Summer of 2023 from Boreham Wood and has had a fantastic season at St James Park, scoring 20 goals and winning both the Supporters Player of the Season and Goal of the Season awards.

"Newts" is known for his relentlessness and hard work on the pitch, which quickly made him a fans' favourite at St James Park. He formed a dangerous strike force with Connor Hall and Morgan Roberts that pushed the Saints all the way this season.

Brackley Town manager Gavin Cowan had this to say about the returning trio "Gaz, Shep and Newts have all had a fantastic season and have been integral to what has been a fantastic year. To have them commit to what we are doing and showing the belief in the club will hopefully set the tone for a prosperous summer."
