NEWS: CHAIRMAN'S UPDATE

NEWS: CHAIRMAN'S UPDATE

Chris Tymon5 Mar - 20:00

Brackley Town Football Club Chairman Francis Oliver would like to provide the following update to supporters.

As the National League North season approaches its climax this is a good time to bring you up-to-date with news around the club.

With eleven games remaining Gavin and the team are well placed in the race at the top of the league. We have home games next Saturday against Alfreton Town and on the following Saturday against Buxton, with a mid-week trip to King's Lynn sandwiched in between. Please try to get along to support the team as they continue the push to win this league or, if that is not to be, to cement a play-off place. Your support can make all the difference.

Our Brackley Town Ladies' team is also enjoying a successful campaign. Their next game is on Sunday (09/03) against Desborough (H). Get along if you can.

We were delighted to receive news that the club has again been recognised by the FA with Two Star Accreditation. This national scheme of accreditation took over from the previous Charter Standard and now comes under the auspices of England Football. The standard rewards clubs that provide the right environment to nurture players, coaches and volunteers, and encourages diversity and inclusion.

Brackley Town Football Club has rightly been proud to be recognised as a FA Charter Standard club over many years and now as an England Football accredited club. Among other things it is an assurance to the community and the parents/carers of children in particular that our club is a safe and welcoming place. As chairman I want to thank everyone around the club, including our more than thirty coaches and Andy Thompson the Head Coach of our Player Development Centre, for their work, commitment to safe-guarding and creating a positive environment and for achieving the accreditation.

You will see some scaffolding up at The Venue currently as we have solar panels being installed. This is will save on energy bills over time and further enhances the club's green credentials.

There is so much activity in and around the club. These are exciting times at Brackley Town. Thank you for your continuing support.

Best wishes
Francis Oliver
Chairman
