We go into the New Year in optimistic mood and in a good place on and off the field. It is unfortunate that our away fixture at Scunthorpe has been postponed today. Our men's and women's first teams sit in and around the top spot of their respective leagues, Gavin's team having reached the 2nd round of the Emirates FA Cup.

Attendances at first team matches are at their highest ever level over the opening five months of the season averaging over 800. Our junior section is at record numbers with a record number of teams. The work of our Supporter Group has provided a new scoreboard at St James Park. The weekly Saints Community Project events continue to grow in popularity and the club is entering an exciting new partnership with Magdalen College School to run a post-16 football and education programme.

Our superb volunteers are the backbone of our club - thank you. Likewise, thanks to our dedicated staff who do a brilliant job.

Olly as chairman with myself and Matt Wise are the club's directors. Tim Carroll has accepted an invitation to join the board and is formally a director of the club as of 1 January. Tim's tenacity, experience, energy, and enthusiasm will be a great addition to the board.

Following a widespread listening exercise through the autumn months the board is drafting a three year development plan for the club. Watch this space for further news on this.

Steve Mole will be working alongside Andy Thompson as our Match Day Operation Managers developing the match day experience for our fans and community.

Becky Adams is the club's Her Game Too ambassador and will be leading the club's work to develop further the women's and girls' game which will be one of the key priorities in the strategic plan.

Carly Mole will be leading our newly created events team working on a calendar of exciting events and activities to take place at our fantastic Venue.
