Brackley Town are delighted to confirm the signing of Ryan Haynes, who joins the club following the expiry of his contract at EFL League Two club Cheltenham Town.

The Daventry born 29-year-old is a naturally left-sided defender with strong League experience, known for his athleticism, composure, and attacking instincts from the back. His arrival adds further strength and balance to the Saints’ defensive options ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Manager Gavin Cowan spoke highly of his latest addition:
“Ryan is an abundant of talent that has extensive league experience. His athleticism and quality are exactly what we are looking for, he’s the ideal mould of player in which we have set our sights on for the coming season!”

Haynes began his career at Coventry City, where he made over 80 senior appearances, before successful spells with Shrewsbury Town, Newport County, and most recently Cheltenham Town in League One. Across his career, he has built a reputation as a dependable and dynamic full-back who contributes at both ends of the pitch.

Ryan Haynes will join up with his new teammates when pre-season training begins next week.
