Brackley Town are delighted to announce the permanent signing of 20-year-old midfielder Liam Cross following his release from Northampton Town.

A product of the Northampton Town academy, he made his Cobbler's first team debut as an 18-year-old in May 2021 against Sunderland in the Sky Bet League One. That season he finished the season as the top scorer in Northampton's youth team despite playing in midfield.

He had loan spells at St Ives and Tamworth before joining Leamington on loan in November 22 and he played against Brackley Town twice last season, scoring a fine freekick against the Saints at St James Park.

Manager Gavin Cowan had this to say about Liam's signing "Liam is a brilliant young talent who has already gained good experience at this level and excelled. I jumped at the chance to work with a player who can already perform at the level but is nowhere near his ceiling of development!”

Welcome to St James Park Liam
