Brackley Town are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Dominic McHale.

McHale spent last season at fellow National League North side Gloucester City and now makes the move to St James Park to link back up with Gavin Cowan.

He came through the Manchester City Academy before joining Barnsley on an 18-month contract in February 2014 after leaving City by mutual consent.

Dominic went on to spend several years in the Non-League with Northwich Victoria, Salford City and Hyde United before he joined Ashton United in August 2018.

In August 2019 he joined League 2 side Oldham Athletic having trained with them over the summer period but only made one appearance for the Latics.

He signed for AFC Telford United in September 2020 where he made 34 appearances and scored 6 goals before joining another National League North club, Darlington, on loan for the remainder of the 2021–22 season.

McHale signed for Radcliffe of the Northern Premier League Premier Division ahead of the 2022–23 season before joining Gloucester City on a one-month loan. He scored twice on debut as his new side beat Farsley Celtic 5–1. He signed permanently in November 2022 and overall last season he scored 12 times in 24 appearances.

Brackley Town manager Gavin Cown had this to say about his new signing "Dom is someone who I have obviously worked with previously and know how much he can offer to the group. He is a match-winner that has learned how to be part of a team and I believe we get him at a very good stage in his career."

Welcome to St James Park Dom!

Subject to FA and National League approval.
