Whing Reunites with Oxford United's Elliott-Wheeler

Oxford United wide player joins on loan until the end of the season and is available for Saturday’s clash with Altrincham.

Brackley Town are delighted to confirm the signing of Aidan Elliott-Wheeler on loan from Championship side Oxford United.

Elliott-Wheeler becomes the second addition of the Andy Whing era at St James Park, adding further pace, directness and versatility to the Saints’ attacking options.

A product of Oxford United’s academy, Aidan recently signed a new professional contract with the Championship club, underlining how highly he is regarded at the Kassam Stadium.

The wide player already has valuable senior experience. As a 17-year-old, he spent time on loan with near neighbours Banbury United, where he first worked under Andy Whing. More recently, he gained National League experience during a loan spell with Gateshead, further enhancing his development at senior level.

Now, he links up once again with Whing and arrives at Brackley Town for the remainder of the campaign, going straight into contention for tomorrow’s fixture against Altrincham.

Manager Andy Whing said:
“It’s great to be able to work with Aidan again. He’s recently signed a new contract at Oxford United, which shows how highly thought of he is there and the trust they have in us to help with his development.

Aidan is a hard-working wide player who can play in various positions. He’s direct, a strong ball carrier, and I’m sure the fans will love watching him play. Welcome to the club, Aidan.”

Everyone at Brackley Town would like to welcome Aidan to St James Park and thank Oxford United for their cooperation in completing the loan agreement.
