NEW SIGNING | Tommy Fogarty Joins Brackley Town On Loan

Chris Tymon

Tamworth defender joins the Saints on loan.

Brackley Town are delighted to announce the signing of defender Tommy Fogarty, who joins the Saints on an initial one-month loan from National League side Tamworth.

The 22-year-old arrives at St James Park to bolster Andy Whing’s defensive options and brings with him plenty of experience in senior football despite his young age.

A product of the Birmingham City academy, Fogarty progressed through the youth ranks with the Blues before signing his first professional contract in 2022.

The defender gained his first taste of senior football during a loan spell with Ebbsfleet United in the National League in 2024, before spending the following season on loan with Scottish Championship side Dunfermline Athletic.

Fogarty continued to add to his senior experience last season, initially joining Boston United on loan before later spending time with Morecambe in the National League.

At international level, Fogarty has represented Northern Ireland at Under-21 level, earning 16 caps and featuring in UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying.

Following his release from Birmingham City this summer, Fogarty joined National League side Tamworth and now makes the temporary move to St James Park on an initial one-month loan.

Speaking after completing his move to the Saints, Tommy Fogarty said:
“I’m really pleased to be here. I’d describe myself as a mix between an old-school defender and someone who is comfortable on the ball, but naturally I’m someone who loves defending.

“Everyone I’ve spoken to has said really good things about Brackley. I’m looking forward to getting minutes, helping the team continue its strong start and bringing everything I can to the group.”

Welcome to Brackley Tommy!
