Morris began his professional career with Walsall, making his senior debut for the Saddlers in 2013 before going on to make more than 150 appearances for the club across all competitions.

During his time at Walsall, Morris also gained experience on loan with Worcester City, Leamington and Wrexham, before joining Tranmere Rovers on loan in January 2019.

That move became permanent in the summer of 2019 and Morris went on to become a key figure at Prenton Park. He spent six seasons with Tranmere as a permanent player, making more than 200 league appearances and scoring 25 league goals, while being named the club’s Player of the Season in 2019/20.Morris left Tranmere at the end of the 2024/25 campaign and joined Oldham Athletic, before spending the second half of last season on loan with FC Halifax Town in the National League.

Now making the permanent move to St James Park, Morris brings considerable EFL and National League experience to the Saints and further strengthens Andy Whing’s midfield options for the 2026/27 campaign.

The registration of Kieron Morris is subject to the approval of the National League and The Football Association.
