
Seven supporters were nominated for the post of Supporter Engagement Officer. The role is to lead the new Supporter Engagement Group. Interviews were held last week with the outcome that Becky Adams and Nigel Jenkins will jointly fulfil the post.
A club spokesperson said, “The level of interest in the role shows that the time is right to form this new group. The candidates made a strong field and making the selection was not easy. Congratulations to Becky and Nigel and thanks go to all the applicants for their engagement.
Becky and Nigel will shortly publicise arrangements for how the group will be elected and a timetable for this. The group will be independent and will be an important channel of communication and engagement for supporters with the club.”
Becky said, “I am delighted to have been selected for this role and thank the club for this important opportunity to hopefully make a difference. I’m really looking forward to working alongside Nigel and I can’t wait to get the group established.”
Commenting on his selection Nigel said, “This is an important step forward for the club and I look forward to playing my part in making it a success. Becky and I will work together to involve supporters and ensure that their voice is heard.”
