Having won the Over 65s Northants Walking Football 2025 Spring League and having finished runners up in the Over 60s age category, Brackley Town Senior Saints travelled to Corby FC on Sunday 2nd June to take part in the Northants FA Over 60s County Cup full of confidence.
The first game played was a semi-final against a very good Northampton Town and playing some of their best football this season Senior Saints booked their place in the final with a 2-1 victory.
In the Final, Senior Saints were up against Moulton Masters, the game was a very tight affair with few chances, and it finished 0-0. So, we moved straight to penalties. After 3 pens by both sides, it was still all level at 3 apiece, and we moved to sudden death penalties. Holding their nerve Brackley Town Senior Saints won 8-7 and lifted the Northants FA Over 60s County Cup to round off an excellent start to 2025.
