Brackley Town are seeking a Community and Football Development Coach

Brackley Town Football Club is excited to announce a newly created full-time opportunity for a Community and Football Development Coach who has the vision and experience to assist our Head of Player Development Centre shaping the future success of our football in the community, growing football for females and young player development.

About The Candidate:

Community and Football Development Coach

  • Salary dependent on experience.
  • Reporting directly to the Head of Player Development Centre

Key Responsibilities
To plan, deliver and implement our successful Community Development programmes in schools to a high standard, providing quality, professional coaching and activities that are progressive and reflective of the needs of people accessing our provision.
To provide coaching cover for the Head of Community and Football Development within our post-16 Football and Education programme in partnership with for our local secondary school.

Assisting the Head to lead, manage and grow our junior section recruiting and developing our team of volunteer coaches with the emphasis on growing the Football game for girls and women.

  • To assist in the running of the Club’s school holiday camps.
  • To assist in the organisation of our annual junior tournament and events.
  • To actively promote all provision delivered by Brackley Town FC and Saints (Brackley) Community Trust.
  • To establish and maintain positive working relationships with individuals and organisations from all sections of the community.
  • To develop other partnerships in Brackley and surrounding areas with relevant sports development teams, networks, volunteers, national and regional partners.
  • To support with the development of projects where required.
  • To be prepared to work unsociable hour and support the organisation at of our women’s and first team home match fixtures in a voluntary capacity.
  • Contribute in a wider voluntary way to the club at first team matches.

Successful candidates will be supported with a programme of induction, provided with a laptop, travel expenses, 28 days holiday, club discounts, match passes, eligible for workplace pension.

  • Achieved FA Youth Award or working towards - Essential
  • UEFA C Licence - Essential
  • UEFA B Licence or working to it - Desirable
  • Experience within all FA Phases (PDP, FP, PDP) - Essential
  • Experience using VEO - Desirable
  • FA Safeguarding Children Course - Essential
  • Pitch side first aid qualification - Essential
  • Experience in coaching female football - Essential
  • Valid FA DBS or willing to take a DBS check before starting the role - Essential
  • Good oral and written communication skills - Essential
  • Competent IT skills – Microsoft office including Word and Excel - Essential
  • Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team - Essential
  • Ability to mentor volunteers - Essential
  • Ability to plan and organise effectively - Essential
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and deadlines - Essential
  • Approachable with a flexible and positive attitude - Essential
