Brackley Town Football Club values supporter engagement and seeks to engage with supporters through regular meaningful communication. The club will continue to engage through various channels such as official supporter group meetings, social media and the website and fan forums and will meet the newly set out requirement of the Independent Football Regulator (IFR). The club also pledges to discuss any heritage issues that may be in scope for consultation, such as any matter linked to the club’s name, badge, stadium and other aspects of our history.
The club is always seeking to improve and provide opportunities for fans to be involved, and over recent seasons we have continued to enhance the way we set out to achieve this. We are committed to ensuring our fans are the heartbeat of our club!
Supporter Engagement Group (SEG)
The SEG is a new initiative which builds on the previous Supporter Group as the club seeks to develop communication and engagement between the club and our supporters.
The Supporter Engagement Group (SEG) is a panel of supporters voted for by fellow supporters. The SEG will meet regularly to discuss club matters, suggest ideas and raise any concerns coming from the fan-base. It will act as a formal channel for two-way communication, aiming to strengthen the relationship between the club and its supporters by ensuring supporter perspectives are considered in decision-making processes. The SEG may request that a member of the club board attend a meeting to hear directly about specific issues and projects or to provide face-to-face information.
Its chair will be the club’s official Supporter Engagement Officer (SEO).
WORKINGS OF THE Supporter Engagement Group (SEG)
This is a new venture but an evolution from the existing supporter group. The exact workings of the SEG will evolve over time but it is initially envisaged that the SEG will operate as follows:
• The group will meet at St James Park after work hours at least three times during the season. Ideally, all members would attend in person.
• The group will also meet as and when necessary to deal with specific matters or events as they arise.
• The group will comprise 10 members with a quorum of 5 for all meetings.
• The club will recruit a Supporter Engagement Officer (SEO) and, once formed, the SEG will nominate a deputy (DSEO). The SEO or DSEO will chair SEG meetings.
• All meetings will be minuted and these minutes will be published on a dedicated page on the club’s website so that all supporters can have visibility over the content of the meetings.
• In between meetings, the supporter representatives will have direct access to the club through the SEO and DSEO so that any pressing issues can be raised and dealt with in a timely manner.

APPLICATION PROCESS to join the Supporter Engagement Group (SEG)
This is an opportunity to play a more formal part in taking Brackley Town Football Club forward.
All members must be at least 18 years old and be willing to attend a minimum of three meetings per year. This is a volunteer role with no expenses or rewards payable.
Supporters are invited to put yourself forward for election to the SEG.
Members should be people who can represent the views of supporters, generally or of a specific group (eg season ticket holders, older supporters, supporters who travel to away games, disabled supporters, female supporters). A positive attitude and the ability to understand and respect the views of others are essential. The success of the SEG will depend on the engagement of its members and the energy they bring to the process.
We hope this will become a forum where we can make real positive change for the club and we need all applicants to be willing to play an active part, not just in the meetings themselves, but also outside of the meetings actively driving forward the SEG’s initiatives.
Following the close of nominations, election will be held.
All applications should be made in writing to the SEO (to be confirmed).
