Chester visit St James Park on Saturday for the second time in the month after the FA Trophy draw paired the sides in the 3rd qualifying round.

The tie is the pick of the round with York City v Altrincham another to catch the eye.

The three previous league encounters at SJP between the sides have ended all square and Chester are currently the away draw specialists having drawn their last three away fixtures at King’s Lynn Town, Blyth Spartans and Brackley.  If a draw is the outcome on Saturday the tie will be replayed at the Deva Stadium on Tuesday 26 November.

Kevin Wilkin’s side comes into the game off of last Saturday’s 5-1 win against Darlington and Tuesday evening’s Senior Cup victory at AFC Rushden & Diamonds.  Chester’s fixture at Gateshead last Saturday was postponed.  Chester lie 3rd in the National League North table, 5 points ahead of Saints but having played one game more.  Brackley are 7th after Boston United’s midweek win over Blyth Spartans leap-frogged them up the table.

The game at SJP will be segregated with home supporters using the AGP pitch end turnstiles and Blues supporters located at the Cricket Ground end.

If you cannot get to the game you can follow the action on BBC Radio Oxford and via the club Twitter feed.
