Next up for Kevin Wilkin’s side is Tuesday evening’s re-arranged trip to Altrincham (kick-off 7.45pm).
It is an encounter between the two in-form sides in the division. Occupying third and fifth spots, just a single point separates the teams as they battle for play-off places.
While Saints lost out at Spennymoor on Saturday, it was only a second defeat in 17 games. Fifth-placed Altrincham meanwhile are unbeaten in eight games and recorded a 5-3 win over second-placed Chorley at the weekend.
The Robins are the division’s top scorers with 80 goals, a statistic aided by the recent 7-0 defeat of Alfreton. While free-scoring they have also conceded 52 goals and have kept a single clean-sheet at home in the last six matches making visits to Moss Lane an exciting one for supporters.
Altrincham won at St James Park in early December, Glenn Walker on the score-sheet for Brackley. The teams did not meet last season as Altrincham were in the NPL Premier Division, enjoying an immediate return to National League North after relegation at the end of the 2016-17 season.
Glenn Walker should be available again for Brackley while Carl Baker remains a doubt.
