Update on the Stand Together Campaign 26th Aug
It’s just three weeks since we launched the Stand Together Campaign to help with the costs of the re-building of the clubhouse that was destroyed by fire in June. A lot has happened in that time already and we wanted to give everyone an update of how things have gone.
The loss of the clubhouse to the football club and to the community has quickly become starkly apparent. While the clubhouse was of course insured, it is almost certain that additional funds will be necessary if the club is to re-build a facility that meets both the football club and wider community needs. Consequently the Campaign was launched with the aim to raise £50,000 in 12 months.
A bank account and appropriate authorisation processes are in place, we have launched our GoFundMe page and are working closely with Brackley Town Council to make sure we have their backing and with others in the town and beyond to build the widest support possible.
Following the launch at an open forum for supporters, we have had good coverage in local media, appearing on the front-cover of the Advertiser and twice on BBC local radio.
In just a short time we have raised £3,846, which has come from a combination of bucket collections at this season’s home games, donations to our GoFundMe page - www.gofundme.com/f/brackleytown-standtogether - and a brilliant event that a group of young people generously organised.
We are now putting together a series of high profile events for the next few months, aimed at hitting the £50,000 target by the end of this season.
We will continue our bucket collections at every home game this season with every penny raised going to the re-building of a new clubhouse that will benefit not only the football club but the local community as well.
Thank you for all your support
