Kettering Youth U13 Girls vs Brackley Town U13 Girls - 17th April 2021

The girls played Kettering youth away on a beautiful morning for football. Both teams started well with an attack each within the first minute. The rest of the half followed suit from end to end football but with both teams defending excellently they were forced into long shots and half chances. Kettering then took the lead off a deflected corner and went into half time 1-0 up.

DATE: 12/12/2020

OPPONENTS: Phoenix United Minor – Drew 1-1

Brackley started the game the better of the 2 sides getting the ball down and trying to play as much as possible through midfield. With some great defending, the bar and couple of good stops from the Phoenix Gk remained 0-0. As the half grew so did Phoenix playing some nice football from central midfield to the wingers, resulting in a freekick just outside of the Brackley penalty area. The resulting freekick went through everyone and 1-0 to Phoenix. If anything, this seemed to wake Brackley up more and were pressing well and nicked the ball in a good area and won a penalty just before half time which was converted HT 1-1.

BTFC U8s Tigers V Hackleton Harriers 5th Dec 2020

Tigers played well, very pleased with the good teamwork and passing especially Theo Tustain in 1st half.  Strong performance and a big confidence booster for a team that has struggled during the first part of the season.

Might be due to strength of opposition now that we have been reseeded.

Archie posed a threat every time he ran at the opposition.

Theo T had an excellent 1st half playing out from the back Oskar tackled well and made some incredible saves.

2nd half Oren scored for the first time this season and defended better.

Theo C had another good game and scored 4 well taken goals

Ashton scored twice and upped his work rate.

Joshua had a solid half in goal and competed well for the ball when out on the pitch.

Crick Colts V BTFC U8s Lions V Hackleton Harriers 5th Dec 2020

Very difficult game – only 5 players available.

Small muddy pitch which the boys didn’t adapt to.

Always behind but the coaches were pleased the boys played with their heads up and didn’t get downhearted.
